Well, the summer is here and so far it’s been a good year in Victoria, besides the car accident in September, the power outage in December and my 360 crapping out on me at the end of April (it’s all good, now, they sent me a refurbished one). Work is… well, work and I should be getting more training on other systems starting this summer (and out of the AGA room where, quite frankly, it was nice to be left alone most of the time). There is one more thing I am looking forward to, work-wise, but I don’t want to jinx it. Even though I was told by those "in the know" and I have seen the email, I won’t believe it until it is in my hands…and on my uniform.
I’ll be off in the middle of July for some R&R maybe get a tan on my pasty white legs of mine. Though with five-day weekends to compensate for the long hours, late nights and occasional stat holidays worked, it just seemes like an excessive amount of time off. This year it looks like I will be working Christmas, (since I was off most of December last year). I hope I can get the 31 of December off (I hate working on my B-day). Since it looks like I’ll be the one in charge of sorting out leave times, I’ll see what I can do.
